Review: 'Jesus Christ Superstar' is a lot of buzz. The show’s revival opened at ASU Gammage with excitement from the audience and glitter. Lots of glitter. Jack Hopewell, Elvie Ellis and the company of the North American Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" holds a very special place in my heart as a preformer. I enjoy the score tremendously. I think it has high energy and definitely is one, if not the best score that ALW ever composed. There is a youthful exuberance in it--that somehow left Andrew Lloyd Webber's music after him and Rice stopped collabrating.

The lighting design by Ken Phillips “pumped everything up, amplifying the music, underscoring the frenzy following Jesus, and softening at the gentler moments.” Jesus Christ Superstar has 4 remaining performances from Friday Dec. 1 through Sunday Dec. 3 in the Tornabene Theatre.
