Diesel. 3.0 TDI V6 of 230 and 240 horsepower – The most popular engine on the Audi Q7 I by far, this luxury village bike has been mounted on everything from VW Fox to Audi Q7.

Nudging its electronically governed 236km/h top speed, the behemoth Audi Q7 cannonballed down the autobahn's outer left lane. For tens of kilometres, this 2.4 tonnes of luxury SUV vied effortlessly with a BMW 7 Series, the Audi's 4.2-litre diesel V8 delivering 760Nm of turbine-like thrust put down to the billiard-table tarmac through all four wheels via a six-speed Tiptronic auto.
It has done the job with little or no fuss. Because of the kilometres travelled it gets serviced twice a year (15,000km service interval), which I suspect has helped with longevity and reliability.

14' Audi Q7 TDI Premium Plus (a couple different options) - almost fully loaded - $3-5k more expensive than the A8L but Q7 is Audi certified (warranty + emissions wrty) Let me state that i am a DIY guy who is not afraid to work on cars. I have done plenty of work on my S4 and other cars - Lexus, Toyota, etc.
