As all the petrol models are front-wheel drive, the diesel is the one to go for if you want a four-wheel drive Dacia Duster, though according to Dacia’s product chief not many people do want a 4×4 version — they make up only 6% of sales in the UK.
Offered with Renault-sourced 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, the Dacia Duster also comes with the option of two or four-wheel drive.
The Dacia Duster Commercial is powered by Renault's well-established 1.5-litre dCi turbodiesel, in this instance tuned to 110hp and 240Nm of torque. It’s coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, with no option of an automatic. Front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions are available on both trim levels.
It doesn't average 4.7 liters/100 km on the combined cycle as Dacia claims, but you'll be able to get 6 l/100 km if you like to drive in an eco-friendly manner. After traveling around 400 kilometers in the city, on the motorway, and on off-road trails, the trip computer stabilized at 6.6 liters/100 km, a decent value for an all-wheel-drive car
